About the Expert

Michelle Molitor is the founder/CEO of The Equity Lab, an organization with the mission to support individuals and institutions as they take on our most intractable race, equity, diversity, and inclusion (REDI) problems, accelerating our transition toward a more liberatory, community-centered society that values the gifts and potential of all of its members. The Equity Lab has partnered with and led work alongside several national, regional and local education agencies across the education ecosystem including the Department of Education, district offices, individual schools, philanthropic groups, and education facing entities.

The Equity Lab seeks to disrupt racial and ethnic inequity by engaging organizations in issues of race, equity, diversity, and inclusion (REDI). We help individuals to develop a deep understanding of their own identity and the historical and cultural contexts in which we all operate, and we empower them to become agents of progress in their personal and professional spheres. We serve as an objective third party to our clients, providing honest guidance, ongoing partnership, and a safe, compassionate space to do what we know is serious, difficult, and deeply necessary work.
